lyrics

Elevation rises, trees sway
The sky is grey and heather
The warmth here will soon fade away
And cold is better together

Run, baby, don’t you run from me
Your hair is so pretty as I pull it back
I’m on the next cab out of town
As I lay you down, lay you down

Finally out of the sun’s harmful view
Giving in to this lunar embrace
I’ve waited so long for you
To fill up this vacant space

Run, baby, don’t you run from me
Your hair is so pretty as I pull it back
I’m on the next cab out of town
As I lay you down, lay you down, jet black

Soon I will be gone
And you will be the talk of the town

As the engine sings
I know where it goes, I’ll miss only some of the things
In this California cold
I sing I sing, as the rubber hits the dirt road

After 4 months of sweaty chemistry, they wrote and recorded an album entitled Wives' Tales. ... more
